Hello, I'm Tara
For over a decade I have proactively worked in numerous roles as a communication professional. I am experienced working on marketing, advertising, entertainment, and live event productions, collaborating with multicultural teams globally.
As a teenager, I was scouted for modeling and learned this was an opportunity that could enable me to work abroad. Greatly intrigued, I decided to pursue to it. Ultimately, I went on to self-manage my own international career which spanned four continents.
Utilizing my experience, branding, communication, and management skills, I decided to become an entrepreneur. I founded a model management organization, Independent Management, in order to help other models have life-changing experiences like I had. I scouted, developed, marketed, and managed up and coming models with the collaboration of my network, which expanded everyday.
As an actor, I communicated my client's messages through my interpretation and performance of their scripts for television commercial, music video, short films, feature films, digital media, and social media productions...
My work in photography continues as I have become an experienced project manager, producer, creative director, and photographer, learning from all of my associates throughout my multifaceted career.
My reputation for being an innovative and detail-oriented professional brought me opportunities to expand into television commercial, social media and digital media marketing video projects as a production coordinator, wardrobe stylist, costumer, props builder, art director and producer.
After an injury grounded me, changing my life, I resettled in my hometown, Atlanta, where I worked in the burgeoning commercial and film industry. The COVID shutdown opened a window for me to return to school to earn my Bachelors Degree.
Studying at Westfield State University offered me wonderful opportunities to learn and create:
- making my first independent ultra short film, documentary film, and series
- transcribing a novel into a screenplay
- conducting interviews
- researching, script writing, and promoting Pine Hill Cemetery's fundraising walking tour for my internship
- and so much more...
I'm proud to have earned my Bachelor of Arts in communication with a minor in film with the class of 2024!
goal
It is my goal to resume my career working with an organization focused on consequential issues where I can utilize my skills as a multimedia communicator to help drive positive change.
I aspire to help raise awareness, understanding, and generate enthusiasm for women's rights, social justice, and science-based solutions that reflect the best ethics while facilitating outcomes that sustain our planet and her many lifeforms.
